Good news for all the Arjun Chakraborty and Ridhima Ghosh fans.
The popular young actors have teamed up for notable director duo Sudeshna Roy and Abhijit Guha’s upcoming ZBC Originals film Aakash Choya.
They are known for helming flicks like Cross Connection, Bapi Bari Jaa and Teen Yaari Katha.
The film, based on Procheto Gupta’s short story Nadi, features Arjun and Ridhima as a romantic couple.
It is a romcom which narrates the journey of a simple young man Kaushik (Arjun). Although he is an intelligent guy, he is viewed as an air headed person by others due to his simple nature.
As the story progresses, Nivedita (Ridhima), who is from Bangalore, would visit Kolkata. She would stay at her sister’s place where Kaushik would work as a helping hand. Initially she would think him to be a servant but later her thoughts about him would be changed.
In the end of the story, Kaushik not only will surprise her but others as well but how is for the viewers to find out.
Talking about the flick, Sudeshna quipped, “Through this film, we are presenting a slice of life. We do get to see such people in real life too.”
“Recently, we visited Shantiniketan where we met an interesting Toto car (battery-operated three-wheeler fleet) driver. By our conversation, he understood that we make films. He told us that he writes poem. We were surprised to hear him out reciting his composition,” she shared.
When quizzed what inspired her to change the title of the film, she said, “Considering the plot of the film which explores humans , we thought Aakash Choya to be more appropriate.”
Also starring Anindyo, Kushal Chakraborty and Mohua Halder in pivotal roles, the film will be aired on 13th March at 9 pm on Zee Bangla Cinema.
